I seem to have worn myself out, all too much easier these days...
I have done a crap load of cleaning in this place today and it doesn't look like I've done a thing...
I can see where I will be spending my week off at the end of may, doing nothing but cleaning around here unless I can get a hell of a lot more done before then...
Anybody else have friggin stray cats around their places? Saw one tonight and I don't know why it would be laying around my front porch.
The porch is just barely big enough to hold the barbecue and a couple of plants but for some reason, the damn thing keeps trying to get up there at night...
Wonder if it knew that there was a cat eating Pit Bull inside, if it would be so eager to get on the porch?
Sure Brutus is 12 years old and finds it hard to get up to even go out in the morning before I leave for work but the sound of squirrels or cats is enough to make him jump around like a puppy again.
Anyway, got to hit the hay, daughter will be up in the morning, she picks up her new uniforms first thing in the morning and will be around shortly after that...

Damn!, It's like summer out there today....
Make ya think winter is done but those slightly below zero nights keep remindin ya....
Decided to do some house cleaning, spring and all, don't ya know...
Didn't realize what kind of a slob my youngest son is gettin to be...
He's 17 and he used to complain and get bitchy and pissy about the way his older sister used to keep her room...
He has taken to sleeping on the couch in the living room, no a problem s it has been warmer that his room but, all of his clothes and garbage and just plain shit is piling up in front of it...
I have been ignoring the mess, too mentally defunct after talking to idiots all day...
I picked up the clothes and threw them on the couch and found garbage, old chip bags, cheese slice wrappers, new socks, books..... I could go on with the list...
Just wait til I kick his ass into doing some cleaning....

Seems they found a product that was accidently left in a cab and wanted to return it to the owner...

What way to start a day...
The first two callers yesterday were completely off the wall...
The first wanted to talk to another member of my team as he is he contact in the company. I told her that I would see if he was available. That was the first time she told me to quit "monkeying around".
WTF?
I had to tell her that he was on a call with someone else and would have to get back to her and proceeded to try to confirm the phone number so that he would be able to get to her.
Again, I was told that I was "monkeying around" and then she hung up...
WTF?
The next caller wanted to talk his contact, a different person, to buy an additional product. I told him that the contact was on a call which is when he said he hasn't got time for this and hung up...
WTF?
Had another customer call in and the first words out of her mouth, "Thank God you speak good English!"
WTF?
After dealing with her issue, I thought about the call and she had repeated the same statement at least 4 times. It was kind of funny coming from someone who was speaking like of backwards inbred who wouldn't know "good English" if it jumped up and slapped her in the face...
One of my colleagues that sits one cube over from me, is of east Indian descent. He speaks the English language quite well. The number of these people who claim that they don't understand him is absolutely phenomenal.
It's like they hear the accent and their minds immediately go into a "I'm not listening to this guy cause he ain't one of us" mode.

Note the two entries for yesterday, damned blogger crapped out... then I tried to published one when I got home last night and it posted both attempts....oh, well, shit happens...
Kinda makes it hard for those of us that are, I guess, so anal that we must post every single day...
I have not missed one single day since starting this blog and I am trying to keep it that way...
We have a repatriation of four of our soldiers coming back today from Afganistan but our damned government will not even lower the flags to half mast for their return to Canadian soil...
The government won't allow the media to cover the return either...
WTF!
Time to take the frickin' govenment out....
My son just joined the military and if he was to be killed and brought back in this way, I can tell you, the assholes would know in no uncertain terms, exactly how I would feel...
Bad enough I'm thinkin about the possibilities at this point....

There are so many subjects I could write about today, damned gas prices, damned whiney pissy Canadian attitude, Damned ignorant Indians(Just a couple of bad apples in our area), damned asses I have for management.... Just could go on forever....
Then I wake up tomorrow and I don't remember any of it, kinda like Alzheimers....
There are a couple I wish I could get away with forgetting, electricity bill, water bill, phone bill, oil bill, food bill, keeping clothes on the little guy (17 yr old, 6'5", 180 lb, bottomless pit)
Guess it doesn't really matter, life goes on and shit happens no matter how much ya write or complain....
I'll think about it some more, maybe I'll forget to breathe....

My colleagues can't even believe that these guys were ministers...
Their whole attitude was right off the wall....
The thought that they seem to think they have more rights that the average person because of their positions is mind boggling...
Never mind what they are teaching the "flock"....
Damn good thing I'm not a religious man, I might have had more to say to these two self righteous asses...

Safety....
Just how and why are we trying so hard to keep our kids safe?
Don't get me wrong, my three kids are the only people that I would actually give my life up for....
I was listening to the radio and all the talk about bike helmets...
How did we as people, make it this far without all of the protection afforded our kids now?
I'm waiting for the full body armor and the laws that will keep your kids from doing anything that may, in any way, shape, or form, hurt them...
Can't eat any food, might choke on it...
Can't ride in any kind of vehicle, might have an accident...
Can't watch TV, might damage the eyes...
Can't use the computer, might connect with a goof...
Can't talk to anyone outside your own home, might be another goof...
They will have to wear full body armor and not be allowed to expose themselves to air.... Damn germs...
Sure, it sounds stupid here but look around you and check into the laws and bylaws that are there for "your protection"

Gas has reached $1.04 a liter and you can hear a lot of crabbing about it...
I think the radio personality pretty much summed up the attitude of the Canadian people in one statement...
"That is the price and you either buy it or you don't, doesn't matter if you complain or not..."
The way I see it, those that can afford the price or can pass it on through their businesses don't care to help the rest of the people who can't by doing something other than grousing about the price...
I know that I am going to be in a dire situation next winter when I have to find a way to heat my house...
I wonder if the jackass neighbor will notice that I am using pieces of their porch in a fireplace to heat my house....

My daughter bought me a scent burner. These things hold little votive candles that melt some wax"tarts" that are scented and keep the place smelling better than it would without them.

Had a call from a woman who called the corporate office yesterday and she was transferred to me...
She purchased a product last June and last week it failed...
To be sure, I asked all of the questions to ensure that the unit was, in fact, dead, which it was...
I started to setup a service for the product but was stopped by the woman screeching that she wanted her money back....
WTF?
She said it had failed in less than a year and she did not want the product anymore.
I told her that is why we have a warranty and that I would replace the product without question.
She then claimed that we were not standing behind our product?
I told her that that is what the warranty was for and that I was going to replace it....
She said it failed in under a year and she wanted nothing to do with it...
I asked if she would condemn a whole product line because of one failure?
She said yes!
Needless to say, I setup a replacement and will be following up with the frickin loon....

Some people must expect that the whole world revolves around them...
Had a guy who had upgraded his out of warranty product to the next model that was a refurbished one for a lesser price than he would have paid for new but for some reason had it in his mind that it was brand new.
The upgrade is another out of production but definitely newer than the one he had.
It now has a problem so we will replace it as per the warranty agreement that he bought along with the upgrade...
He wants a brand new one and he wants it the following day. He called in at just after 5:00 last night and expected delivery this morning...
This prompted him to escalate as he was told he may not get it until tomorrow, WTF....
Needless to say, he will get it when he gets it, and that was what I told him.
Did I tell you, I am the end of the line when it comes to escalating with in the client company?

Short 2...
What is with the sensibility of some people or lack thereof?
I'm in training for two days and it was a last minute thing. I didn't even know that I would be in for 7 to 3:30 each for Thursday and Friday until about 4:00 on Wednesday. Really short notice but necessary.
One of my customer called in looking for me yesterday and he goes completely off the handle on one of my colleagues.
Just what does he think he is going to accomplish by doing that?
I am going completely out of process and policy to try to accommodate him but that means nothing to this guy.
And to top it all off, he is a minister in some church.
Of all people, should he not have the most consideration for others?

I'm in training for two days and it was a last minute thing. I didn't even know that I would be in for 7 to 3:30 each for Thursday and Friday until about 4:00 on Wednesday. Really short notice but necessary.
One of my customer called in looking for me yesterday and he goes completely off the handle on one of my colleagues.
Just what does he think he is going to accomplish by doing that?
I am going completely out of process and policy to try to accommodate him but that means nothing to this guy.
And to top it all off, he is a minister in some church.
Of all people, should he not have the most consideration for others?

Things that make you go hhmm.... 88
Got my hydro bill last night, scary shit kiddies.... over $900 for three months
It seems to be a lot less important after the one call I had to make yesterday....
One of the products I support in my job is a line of digital cameras. In November I started to work with a lady whose unit stopped working altogether.
Apparently, the camera was purchased for a trip from the "Make A Wish Foundation" and her daughter was dyeing....
I gave her a new upgraded camera and had the dead one captured so that I could see about getting the images off of it for the lady as they were the last ones of her daughter in a swing. Not long after they were taken, the little girl was unable to use a swing and the pictures were of the utmost importance to retrieve from the camera.
I left the job in the hands of one of our engineers believing he would make the appropriate contacts.
About two weeks ago, the lady emails me for an update. Her little girl died on Feb 7th and she had not heard any word on the pictures since talking to me.
I contacted the engineer who had received the unit but had done nothing with it since getting it. I got him to work on it immediately but I got an emailed reply from him yesterday that the images could not be retrieved.
Great news and I had to pass this info along to the customer...
Death happens and cameras quit working but I am still here and $900 seems so much more trivial....

This is pissin' me off...!
I have been working in the same place for 5 1/2 years and last month was the first time I've been sick enough that I had to call in for the first time. That was the first week of March.
Yesterday I was shitting through the eye of a frickin needle and had to call in again....
I was already to go in, had my coat on and all, but damned if that wasn't when the first wave hit....
From then on it was damn near three hours in there...
Do you know just how boring it can get in a bathroom for three hours?
There is only so much reading one can do when the crapping hits and the burning ring of fire starts...
Concentration, yea, on yer burnin ass!
Anyway, looks like I may make it in today, even if I have to keep a bucket under my desk.... now that is a nasty thought....

It's all about the Irish...
So two Irishmen are the only survivors in a shipwreck. Floating helplessly in a lifeboat they come across a lamp floating in the ocean. Mickey reaches out, grabs the lamp, and after rubbing it for awhile a genie appears. The genie says, "You are granted one wish."
Paddy yells, "Make the whole ocean into the best-tasting beer ever." And with a thunderous crash the ocean becomes the finest brew known to man.
With the suds gently lapping against the sides of the boat, Mickey with an angry roar yells, "Oh! That's great. Now we have to piss in the boat."

A Few Interesting Pics...
Just some pics I took and thought were worthy of posting...
The sun headed for the west over my neighbors house one day this winter..
This is something like an incense burner but you use either scented wax in the top or oil and the candle heats it. I was more or less just experimenting...
This is the scene that greeted both my son and I one evening while watching a movie. We turn to the couch behind us and Brutus was laying on his back watching me. Evil looking isn't he? He is a 12 year old Pit Bull...
This the river looking down from one of the bridges in town. Yea, we had a little tiny bit of winter...
This was one of my attempts to get a pic of a couple starts at night. I thought it turned out kinda funky...
