Got to bed at about 11:00 last night but around 1:00 I started into this coughing jag that just would not stop. About an hour and a half later I get up, pop a halls and crawl back into the sack.

Be damned if I don't wake up almost an hour later than usual...

My daughter purchased a cell phone for me in June of this year, first one I have ever had.

In July, I went shopping for something a little more advanced than merely a phone and having the texting capability and passed this one along to my son so that he could keep in touch too. Last week, he was looking to find out how to add money and features as this thing is a pay as you go. He did actually try the pin that I had set it up with but it would not let us in to the system to even add money.

I checked with the store where my daughter purchased it and the said that all we had to do was hit *611 and provide the correct personal details.

When we called in, we found ourselves talking to someone in India. This was one very efficient, capable person who had the issue resolved in less time than it took to get through the prompts.

I really don't see what issues these people have with talking to support in India.

Stop and think for just a second... Would you sit in a cube for 8 hours a day and listen to you whine, bitch and complain? Would you take the abuse that these supposed civilized people throw at support staff?

Think about how much it would cost to purchase the items you scream about if they were made by and supported by the people on this continent, you wouldn't be so damn quick to condemn the companies and people you encounter when calling for technical support...

So, I seem to have gone off on a mild rant...

We have had way too much rain in the last two weeks. Really makes ya wish it would snow...

I did not say that! Damn...

It really does make the arthritis a bit miserable...

Not to mention the walk to the laundromat, and dry cleaner, and the grocery store, and just about anywhere else I can think of...

I spent quite a bit of my time this summer digging a pond in my front yard. Right now, there is more water in the low area along the fence along one side of my property than there is in the damn pond... In fact, there are bigger puddles in my back yard that I have to trapse through to take the damn dog out...

You might get the idea that I have had just about enough rain for this year...

When do you say that you've had enough, cut your losses no matter how great those are, and run. Run far. Run fast...

Just how long should anyone be waiting for their corrections to their annual review?

I found that some data on which my review was based, this was done in February, was incorrect, putting the rest of the data in doubt. It is now 8 months later and no one has corrected that data or the reviews.

The people who mange this place seem to believe that they are above reproach.

It's funny that the two people in charge of the entire building as it pertains to the employees, have setup what are known as focus group meetings. The information that was returned to the rest of the people was so specific, it showed, without a doubt, that the front line managers are not doing their jobs. The questions that were asked by the people in the focus group could have been answered quickly and effectively by the frontline managers. But, no, they seen to think that it is merely their job the manage by fear and if they frontline people don't make the managers goals, are summarily dismissed from the company.

To this company, attrition is a huge unwanted factor. They, however, do not consider firing as attrition. This tends to make management a fire happy. Sorry, a lot fire happy.

The company wants to be a place where people want to work. In this location, they are failing miserably.

I will be the one informing some of the upper echelon even if it means my dismissal from the company.

I guess it is getting close to my time to leave them..

Too bad, I know that I could have made a difference...

What the hell happened to common courtesy?

Note the last post, the guy that my daughter and wife know and wanted to sell his computer.

It was arranged that I would call the guy as soon as I got home from work to provide directions to my place so that he could drop it off and get paid.

So, a little after 6 last night, I call the guy. He says that he has to go out immediately and to call him back at 7. OK, I can do that but he didn't even apologize but I thought it just may have slipped because it seemed rather sudden. Fine. I call him back at 7, give him the directions to my place and he says that he is waiting for someone and will call just before he comes over.

At 10:30, I text my daughter asking what kind of asshole this guy is. She tells me that he has been texting her all evening. He says he had company drop over and wouldn't be able to get away.

K, if I had made arrangements with somebody to be there for some reason and then couldn't show up, I would have had the common courtesy to call and say that I wouldn't be able to get there, not just to say "Oh well, too bad, he'll know I'm not coming when I don't show up."

What an ass.

Needless to say, I don't trust the goof or that there will be anything usable from the computer he is trying to sell. I have a feeling that he thought he could put something over on a couple of females but got cold feet when he talked to me. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Told my wife and daughter that they can do whatever they want but that the guy won't like me at all if he meets me.

There is a guy that my daughter knows who is selling his computer. I'm not sure if it because he wants out of computing, I know there are some that have no use for it, or if it is just an older system. It is supposed to be a P4 complete with monitor... I'm spending the $100 he is asking, even if it is only parts, worth the $100 It think...

I can't believe how many people on my team count on my knowledge... Yea, looks like swelled head syndrome but, damn, I assisting people with products that I don't even support....

Neighbors...

You gotta love some people.

I have only a few neighbors because I live on a very short, dead end street. I have been here for over 16 years and almost all of the other people on this street have been trying to harass me and sc/or scare me off this street from that very first year.

There are two in particular that are the most obvious and a couple others that like to smile in your face while reaching around to twist that knife in your back.

The funny thing is that it had to have started merely because of the way I look. I am a little over 250 pounds, not just fat but I can carry more weight that the average person due to my build. I have what appears to be shoulder length hair, it is longer, actually reaches to the middle of my back when the curls are stretched out fully. I also have a full beard and mustache. Lets face it, I look like a biker. I don't really fit into the neighbors profile of the ideal people to live on this street.

Somewhere I'll get more into the things I have done for these people and the resultant actions by them. I wanted to relay the one that actually cropped up today.

I have a Pit Bull, the last in a line of seven I have had and the last also because of the ban on them that was enacted last year. The reason for acquiring this breed was due to the bitch next door. I had a Collie/Akita cross which was a really big and beautiful animal that the bitch coveted. She had been seen several times by other, letting him loose from his chain in my backyard while I was away. The last time she did it, what was left of him was found on a train track. Not a pretty sight at all. So, I went and Got Brutus with the idea, she would not even come near him. Worked pretty good for a lot of years. When I took Brutus out on my front step, he would hear her and bark, she would be in her house so fast and without a sound. Worked for me.

At this point, Brutus is 12 years old. The bitch next door has retired and decided to procure another dog for herself, a black Newfoundland Waterdog. I think she is still trying to better me by one.

Today, as I was leaving for the laundromat, she had the dog out on the street, off her property without a leash. Not more than a month ago, my daughter took Brutus not even twenty feet down the street from my driveway, on a leash, and the bitch called the cops.

I am about to make it a hobby of calling the authorities every time I see her dog off her property without a leash. I will also be following her when she takes the dog for a walk because I think she is leaving little surprises on other peoples lawn. We do have poop and scoop laws here.

I'll elaborate on this in future posts. For now, Brutus is bugging me to take him out, should have him shit on her front porch....

I was watching the Canadian version of COPS called To Serve And Protect...

The laws have gone completely stupid...

How is that a guy is seen by one person, as he climbed out of one stolen vehicle, hide the booty from several other break and enters behind a tree, break into another car where he was caught by the owners brother and subdued including restraining with handcuffs, can say that he didn't do it? This is the kind of shit that they try to get away with so often and actually plea bargain, in some cases, to almost nothing in jail time.

I would love nothing better than to have the right to carry a gun. I know that the friggin criminals would be thinking twice before entering a house or trying to rob someone if they knew there was a really good chance they would be shot and possibly to death.

Gun control, yea, right, like that is going to help...

Imagine, most of the crimes committed with firearms have been done with stolen weapons. They have proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that the gun registry doesn't work.

I really can't understand the assholes that are again lobbying for it...

Yea, I know. I have been a little off with my subject matter but I am one of the only ones that posts each and every single day. I have missed only one post in over a year and I can blame that on blogger....

I was watching a movie last night and it brought a thought to mind. Van Helsing, the vampire hunter.

What would the vampires do if they followed some of the upstarts and turn all of the people into food? When they ran out of fresh people what would they do? They would only have themselves to turn to and then what?

I know, it's fictional but then you bring that to real life situations and the mentality is there.

The Japanese and their whaling. They figure that they have the right to take whatever they want even if it takes the whales to extinction.

The loggers in British Columbia. They scream about the tree huggers and ask the question, "What do we do for a living if we can't cut trees down?". Let's see, if you cut all the trees down, guess what, your in the same damn boat and can only blame yourselves.

And one last volley.

The Indians, native Canadians, claim to have the right to fish anytime and anywhere they want. The claim was that they were just trying to feed their families. Yea, right... You see them being caught with truck loads of fish that they are taking into places like Toronto to sell. What happens when there are no more fish for anyone because you took all the fish you wanted during spawning? They also try to claim that they only take the smaller males, yea, right again...

During the first hour of my shift yesterday, my cell phone, buzzed twice. I was able to check it out at my break and found that my employer had left a message on my voicemail.

No, it wasn't a vm pinkslip, yea, went through my mind.

Apparently, my daughter has an interview on Wednesday with my employer. Damn, I wouldn't wish this place on anyone....

I wouldn't want to be them if they mess around with my daughter. Not because of her but because of me. The damage I can do before leaving would not be worth it for them....

Ever have a letter you want to write but you sorta worry about how it will be taken?

It has been over eight months since my yearly review at work and still has not been addressed concerning its accuracy...

I approached HR in May as the managers in charge of my team and me, are a couple of self serving asses who only provide assistance and promotions to those that kiss ass. I kiss no ones ass for any reason and so I have been provided with a review that des not even show how I do my job, just the attitudes of the people above me...

Anyway, the person in charge of our building is going to be having some meetings with some focus groups to see what they can do about morale and try to keep more people from leaving the company. It seems they are having difficulty filling the seats here.

I know that I will not be invited to one of these meetings merely for the fact that I would tell them how it is with no sugar or icing...

But, I have to get some closure on the treatment of me if not the way management seems to think they are doing a good job running the place. Don't get me wrong, there are a number of good managers but the bad ones are negating anything the good ones are doing...

It was a downpour yesterday morning and, as usual, I was walking to work.

I can't believe the number of the motoring public that are so absolutely selfcentered, self involved that they don't see the pedestrians. They don't know how to look out for their fellow human beings. I had to keep an eye open for vehicles coming up from behind me so that if they hit certain puddles on the road, I wouldn't get drenched.

Even at corners, the number of motorists that felt they had to be faster and first in front of the guy standing on the corner with a small umbrella trying to stay dry.

Absolutely amazing, the selfishness of so many people...

Getting up this early for work really, really, sucks...

There has to be a particular timeframe between me and my son getting up. It all comes down to the use of hot water. If time is too close then the hot water tank doesn't have enough time to recover. Either I would have to put up with a half cold shower or listen to him complain about it...

It would probably be one big bitch-fest if my daughter was living here too...

So far, my return to work has been rather uneventful other than a whole lot of "we missed you". I think the missed was because I can now take my share of the workload back from my team mates although there are more than enough of them to take the few cases I would have handled...

Anyway, I'll cut it off there for now, have a great humpday...

Yea...

First day back to work and I did not get much done. All of my tools had password resets and a couple of them worked for a bit but had to be reset again. One of them should be functional today. And the main tool we use, the phone, did not work for almost two and a half hours into my shift. Made for an easy day.

The one call I did get came from the clients corporate office. I offered to replace the defective unit a second time for him which he accepted. He called back in about 5 minutes later and started demanding a refund or a "new" unit. He even asked if he needed to talk to my supervisor. I had to remind him that he had called the corporate office to get to me but that I would be with him until the issue was resolved meaning that I was the only person he had to talk to until then.

Some people don't seem to be able to think how they managed to get to us and what is considered the final answer.

Just some stuff...

I have moved my tomato planters indoors because of the frost possibility we had last week and I managed to get a single, one only, tomato off of them so far. With a little luck I'll get a few more but I don't hold out hope to keep them alive for very long. I also moved the hanging baskets of plants in too and they seem happier about it as evidenced in the number of new blooms.

The rose bush that we put in this summer seems to have forgotten what time it is and has actually put out two more blooms this week, can't figure out why.




Got a couple of pictures of a really interesting view of the sky to the west of my place. I spotted it when I was taking my dog out one night.

I have a bit of trouble with this whole concept.

Thanks for my life? I was adopted at just over a year of age. Apparently my birth parents had no use for me... My adoptive parents seemed to enjoy beating the shit out of me. I guess that could be considered a use...

Two of my kids seem to think they have no use for me and think of me as knowing a shit load less about life and how the world turns than they do. No use for me there...

The wife decided that I was more of a pain than her time was worth so the separation has been for 5 and a half years so far. No use there...

My neighbors have been trying to get rid of me from the day I moved on to this street 18 years ago. I a way I am useful in that I provide them with a distraction from the real world and real issues...

My employers only find me useful in some very limited ways. Management doesn't want me there except to buck up the over all site stats. No way they would allow me to move up the ladder as they would have to compete with my no bullshit ways. A bit of a use for me here as a "whore".

There are two entities that do appreciate me though, my daughter and my dog. My daughter will spend money and time with me just because she can and the dog, more or less, relies on me for all of his needs, however that won't be a whole lot longer. He is 13 years old now.

I guess I am thankful for a couple of things but it would take too long to complain about all of the things I really want to.

I hope all have a great thanksgiving weekend and have a crapload more to be thankful for.

These things are the pride of your life when they first come into the world. Often enough, they make you absolutely the proudest people on the earth and then there are other times....

The little guy, who will be 18 in March 2007, is the biggest , most self centered, self involved slobs I know. The only times this kid does anything to help out around the house or for me at all, I have to tell him what to do. Even with telling him what needs to be done, I still have to remind him constantly and then wind up doing it myself.

When his older brother was living with us as well, I gave up trying to keep ahead of the friggin mess that these two created. Found out the hard way that only one of them can make the same mess as when both were here.

I have been asking him for well over a year to clear his room(clean or merely arrange) so that I can move the things from the second actual bedroom in there, finish the second bedroom, I have been mid-renovation for over a year at this point, and them move him into a freshly renovated room. At this point I have just about completed the cleaning of his room.

I will have to remind him that as soon as school is out next spring, he had better have arranged some sort of living arrangement somewhere other than in my house. I have had just about all I can take of his slovenly ways.

I'll work up the rant about my daughter another time.

For the first day in over a month, I don't have an appointment. However, not only do I expect to have a recurrence in a couple of months but so do the nurses that have been attending to my wound. We will see. Can you say "malpractice lawsuit"?

On Monday I go back to work and start my new shift. It's only a half hour earlier than it was nut still a change.

I know that a few of my coworkers missed my presence but I do know that management would prefer that I didn't return, they will still have to address the issues they have created.

I'll go into that another time.

For now, I intend to relax for a couple of days

Got my latest prescription filled to the tune of $105. Is it me or are prices of these get more than a little out of hand?

I just put together my reimbursement submission for prescripts for this summer and so far it comes to $332. Thank Christ I get 80% back on the company health plan. Not a bad plan, I get 66% of my normal income for the time I have been off too. Not a lot but definitely better than a lot of people get.

I have my last homecare visit today too. I know I said it was yesterday but she had too much on her plate so we put it off for today, it is only for my discharge anyway. She still feels that I will have the same problem again in a couple of months but they really can't contradict the doctors, they are all knowing...

So, the surgeon says that the hole in my back is just short of completely healed. He has issued a note to tell the nurses that they are no longer needed. He says to leave it alone and if I have any problems with it down the road, give his office a call.

I truly don't believe this is the end of it but he is the doctor. Far too many people have been boggled by his non-concern and odd methods but I guess we'll see.

I have my last nurse visit today re:note above and will be returning to work on Monday if I can get my GP to fill out the paper work to that end.

If you have been following this blog for any time, you may be aware of the issues I had with the furnace guys.

The same guy has been called by my landlord to service the furnace for well over a year now. He was to clean and certify it for use as we needed to get a new tank and have the chimney lined before I could order oil for this winter.

I tried firing up the fucking thing and guess what, the fucking thing does not function, again!

If anyone reading this lives in this area, spread the word that they do not want to do any business at all with "Earl Rosebush Fuels"! He is the biggest fucking asshole on the fucking planet. I will be demanding that my landlord get someone else in to get the furnace working or I will and take it from the rent.

This has gotten beyond anything close to fucking acceptable.

Yes, I am pissed more than I can actually communicate effectively.

I'm not sure about where others who may read this thing live, but here, we have laws about not parking on sidewalks.

I went to friends place and on from there to get coffee. We passed a construction site where they are building a new seniors home, looks more like a big ass school but that is another rant. The different companies have a good number of workers there but for some reason they did not account for a reasonable amount of space between the building and the roadway in front. The setback looks to be only about 25/30 feet.

Anyway, there were three vehicles parked right on the sidewalk and on our way back, a fourth vehicle was backing onto the same sidewalk, providing us with a less than patient look because we refused to move off of the sidewalk to accommodate his parking.

This was more informational than a rant but the ass that pulled out of a side street was the one that really pissed me off.

He pulled out so that we could not pass out in front of his vehicle and had to either wait for him to move on or walk behind the car. These are the kind of guys that I would like to pull out of their cars and beat them profusely. Especially if it's raining. They are in a nice warm dry car and they seem to feel they have a right that they, in fact, do not.

I kinda got even with one guy. I was coming up on a corner and actually heard the car approaching the corner from behind at a high speed. I didn't even make out that I heard him and crossed the street in front of the person. Whoever it was really had to climb on the binders to keep from hitting me.

Just one more note here, I don't mind "giving" up the right of way that I hold but I'll be damned if you going to "take" it from me without a fight of some sort...

Not sure what happened but my tomato plants have not produced this year...

I decided to put tomato plants in a couple of 2 foot clay pots on my front porch. I put 6 plants in each pot and watered them daily for most of the summer.

Don't get me wrong, they grew in a big way bit talk about late producing fruit. These things are almost 5 feet tall and there is now a fair bit of small tomatoes on the plants but I am not going to be getting more than 1 or 2 that I can keep or are useful for anything except garbage.

Wish me luck, I'm going to try bringing them inside for the winter. I don't think they are going to get enough sunlight or whatever but with a little luck, mine is mostly bad, I'll be able to get a little more out of them.

Bell ExpressVu pissed me off a couple of years ago. Every single bill I received from them was different. It was as if they could not make up their minds just how much to charge for the questionable service they were providing.

Two years ago this December, I decided that they were getting no more money from me. Since then, they have been trying to collect about $150. They would also change the options in the package deal I had without warning or compensation or anything noting that they had that right according to their contract. Absolute bullshit as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, They have continued to make calls to me at least once a day for the past two years, leaving messages on my voicemail. As per the process, I have refused to return any of those calls. These calls would arrive as many as three times a day and even on Saturdays. I didn't care. It is easy enough to delete the messages.

However, I think they have now breached the proper collection process. For about a month now, I have been receiving these calls on Sundays. Is this allowed? I don't think so. I am going to wait one more week and if it happens next weekend I am going to be calling the number with a threat of a lawsuit for harassment, and for a shit load more than the amount that I owed them.

There are laws and I'll be damned if I'm the only one that has to adhere...

Looks like the next big multinational scandal is with HP.

I was actually amazed at first when, after the whole thing blew up in her face, the chairman(what happened to "chairperson"?) noted that she was going to resign from the chair but remain on the board until January.

Now it seems that she is jumping ship entirely, more what I thought would and should have happened.

Maybe TV has provided me with a skewed perspective but the CEO and the chairperson claim not to have known how the investigators were to get the information they did. Did they think it would just materialize out of thin air?. Did they think the culprits would be giving themselves up freely to be removed from a very lucrative position?

As far as I am concerned, HP should go back to the way it was. They actually gave a shit about the customers and the people who worked for them. I don't see it now...

Another day, another pain in the ass...

I was finally able to get hold of my surgeon's receptionist/nurse who told me that they had me booked for October 3 rd for reopening the hole in my back. After telling her what my nurse thought about the status, she decided that she wanted to talk to my nurse. It seems that after talking to her, the receptionist/nurse was to contact me with a new time for the repeat surgery but did not. Guess I'm going to have to get a little more insistent.

I don't care so much about the mistake and don't care if he even admits the mistake, just fix the damn thing!

Furnace oil isn't going to be too bad to start with this year, $750 to fill my tank from empty, I can live with it...

I'll leave it at that for now...

I know, this all seems boring fight now but it is my life. I will produce better posts when I can think of other things after this mess has been cleaned up.

As expected, the hole in my back is healing from the outside and not the inside. This is not a good sign.

I'm waiting for a call from the surgeons office for an appointment to see what he intends to do about the situation. I'm really not looking forward to this at all...

For a mid-September day, yesterday was extremely nice.

You know the movies that show neighborhoods that have a lot of people in a multitude of activities?

It was so weird because that is exactly what I saw yesterday when walking from my daughters place back to my place.

One lady was getting her two kids ready for a walk with a stroller, on the next block, two guys were working on the wheel of a car, across the road another guy was repairing his fence, at the cross street there were at least four couples/groups walking up and down the street, on the next block a lady was in the front yard playing with her three kids and a dog as well as the lady from across the street coming over to join the merriment, two other guy were sitting in and leaning on a car drinking brews and talking ...

I have never seen this much spontaneous activity in a neighborhood in a long time. It was as if there was a blackout and there was nothing else to do...

Really quite odd but somehow refreshing to see that it actually does take place..

Spoiled...

Funny how one professional can spoil you for any others.

My regular Nurse does her job efficiently, properly and with a good deal of personability (is that even a word?)

I actually wait for her to come in and work on the hole in my back because I know she has genuine concern about my condition and the necessity of being through so that I have as little problem with the healing process.

The second nurse I had, way back when, just barely wet down the wound, didn't clean the inside or much of anything else. I requested that she not return which they have acted on.

Yesterday, I had another nurse, mine has to have some time off, seemed to be pretty much a ditzy broad. Her first question was, "What am I supposed to be doing here?" OK, your the nurse, you don't know?...

I allowed for some miscommunication and the fact that she may have been really tired. She did say that I was the 13th visit yesterday and she had a couple of parties that she had to get to after work, one for a kid.

Another clue to the ditzy was the fact that she apparently left her blood pressure cuff and stethoscope somewhere and wasn't quite sure where.

Lets see how it goes today and see if it was a one off.

One killing rampage that took place in a school in Quebec so many years ago didn't stop the latest attack from happening...

How does the saying go, "If you don't remember the bad things, history will repeat itself!"

Seems to me that no matter how much remembering happens, these atrocities repeat themselves anyway...

I think the statement was created to show the insight that one person had, cute but extremely unrealistic...

Is it me?...

Or is it blogger? I couldn't log in using any browser this morning, talk about pissed off.

Anyway, had my reassessment by the nurse today and she has added another week before the next one. That would be on the 29th. Now I have to figure out how to get it added to the leave of absence from work, that way I get paid....

There was another school shooting, in Montreal this time. Funny but we had an incident that was similar in this city yesterday.

Some kid was a little miffed, got into some sort of scuffle on a bus and shot another student with a BB gun.

My kid said, "It was just a BB gun!" Of course he and his friends have shot at each other with them, not that I approve but there isn't much I can do unless I am with him 24/7.

Finally got the paperwork and it looks clear to the 25th so far.

The doctor finally showed a little concern over my yo-yoing blood pressure but I think its because the nurse that comes in daily takes it and keeps me apprised otherwise nothing would have been done. Mind you, the only thing he is doing is doubling my prescription, none of the people I know, and a lot of them are nurses, believe that this is the fix. I guess we'll see.

He also decided to look at the hole in my back. His spin on it, "Great, looks good!". Funny but the nurse says that there has been no change to the inside where it is supposed to be healing and the depth hasn't changed either. Friggin doctor thinks he can tell more in a split second, cursory glance than someone who is assessing it on a daily basis. We'll see. If it heals up on the out side first and the damn thing grows like it did the last time, I smell lawsuit...

My thoughts are also with a buddy of mine, he has gone under the knife again as of 8 am this morning. This is a guy who is riddled with cancer and has actually outlived his live expectation by a couple of decades. Wishing him luck in his latest round with the evil C...

Getting up this early is gonna kill me, although it is about the time I am going to have to get up when I go back to work...

I have an appointment to fill out paperwork with my doctor today and my nurse will be showing up about noon...

Yea, a broken record, I know but it is consuming my whole life at this point.

And it is raining today and supposed to tomorrow as well, not conducive to the life of a person who walks everywhere...

Here we go, another week in this screwed up world...

Didn't find out til yeserday that I needed to make an appointment with the damn doctor to have the papers filled out so I don't get fired from work and even get the beneft plan to pay for my time off although only 66% of my normal but it is better than nothing...

Looks like Vsta RC1 is now available and I am ownloading. Sweet, soon be able to blow away the crap on this system and run with a clean Vista, we'll see what happens.

Gotta cut this short, I have to go to the store my son went to last night and see if he left my debit card there, swear that kid is out to make me have a heart attack...

I think I am looking at switching just in time, it took almost 10 minutes for this damned blog to open.

Now I know that my system is getting overly buggy right now but my ISP has upped the connection from 2 k to 5 k and connecting to anything is just about impossible. Hopefully I can push this thing along for a few more days till I get the crap off of it I want to keep and then blow the whole system away and start fresh...

Update on my back, the doctors nurse told my nurse "Welcome to the 2000's, just tease the wound to keep it open." WTF?

So now the nurse is going to have to keep coming in to keep the hole open so it heals from the inside. I figure I did something to piss him off and really want to ask him what it may have been.

What the hell?...

The nurse who comes in to clean the hole in my back and change the dressing, called the surgeons office and is waiting for a callback from him.

She spoke to his nurse and even they are surprised that he did not require a packing to keep this thing from healing over, which, I might add, is actually happening at what appears to be an accelerated rate.

My family doctor who is supposed to fill out the required paperwork so that I don't get fired, has now closed his office till the 11th, I would like to go down, grab him by the throat and shake him like a dog shaking a rag....

Seems one of my cousins was injured by the Taliban attack on Tuesday, he will be coming home sometime this week. He did undergo surgery this morning for the shrapnel in his legs...

The fun just keeps on rolling for me...

BTW, I tried to leave a comment on yer blog Hale but for some reason, got only errors, didn't matter which browser I used either. I figure it must be something with my system as there were other comments already there... Maybe the next time.

Looks like management is still not paying attention to what is happening...

Another of my team members is leaving this week for a different company. That is about 5 so far this month.

I personally have had an offer put forth. It would be part time at first and possibly work into full time with more than four times the money.

Should I think about the switch... NOT likely!

A little more on the back, the hole is closing up nicely but that really is not a good thing. The root of it is still producing the same amount of material which, if the hole seals up, will create the swelling and pain again. My daily nurse was to call the surgeon yesterday and I may know more after her visit today...

My family doctor has still not filled out the paperwork necessary for me to get paid by my medical plan from work while I am off, I think this may require a road trip with a bat....

Funny how my blood pressure is high or normal, depending on who I'm talking to. For this past week, four of the readings were 138/100, 165/86, 160/80, 175/86. You tell me, are these high and especially as I am taking meds to control it...

Scientific Explanation of Hell

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving.

I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different Religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa, (Cheerleader Captain and Class Valedictorian) during my Freshman year that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you", and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night and again this morning, then number 2 must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over.
The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...leaving only Heaven, and thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God!!!"

Redneck...

Took my daughter to the local fair last night and found some real, honest to god, rednecks...

This is the first time in quite a few years that I actual went to see the demolition derby, yea, a little redneck in me just for going to see this but not near as much as the asses behind us.

We went to the grandstand about a half hour before it was to start, good thing too, and managed to get a couple seats in the second row from the bottom, these are really not bad seats even though they are just aluminum benches.

There were a bunch of people behind us with about four empty spaces. It looked like others had been sitting there and had gone to get drinks or food. Just before the show started, there was one guy who was assisting in seating, helping the handicapped and filling empty areas. He spotted the seats behind us and asked if they were taken, the rednecks said that they had gone to get drinks.

The next time the guy went by they said that the people had gone to the washroom.

Funny thing, no one had ever showed up to claim the seats. The next time and from then on, they started cursing and yapping about the fact that if people got there first then they could have the seats, etc.

It wasn't till about fourty minutes into the show that the people arrived to take the seats. They just got to the fair. WTF?

These people cursed a guy out and raised quite a ruckus about those being there early enough get the seats but the "friends" or "family" arrive long after the show and are entitled?

Damn rednecks are everywhere!

It's a long weekend but just how great is that?

I have to wait for the home nurse to fix up the hole in my back which, by the way, is starting to pain a little more now. Hopefully it is only due to the healing process...

Got to call into work so they don't fire my ass, and let them know I still have not gotten the paperwork from my doctor...

I have to get hold of the doctor to enquire about the paperwork..

As a side note, I have been trying to get the papers since Tuesday. I called in 5/6 times yesterday only to reach a recording that said they would be back on the next business day at 8:30 am. Didn't know if this meant they were out for the weekend so I went to the office to find out. They were in, but they really don't give a shit about anyone. I asked if the papers were ready t which I got the reply, "We can't have them ready in seconds!"
I told her that they had the papers for 3 days already. She states that she saw them back there, pointing in the direction of the back offices. I said that I need them to get paid. She says "sorry" and turns away as if I didn't exist or were a minor nuisance like gnat that had to be waved away..

Anyway, got to take my daughter to the fair tonight, that was a promise which I do keep.

I have to finish up the final communication(letter) to my oldest son. He has decided that he no longer wants anything to do with his entire family. How do you say a final goodbye to your son when he is still alive and well?...

I still have to do all of the other stuff that is usual in my life, laundry, food, cleaning, etc.

And to top it off, the weather is supposed to go to hell tomorrow through Sunday...

I hope everyone else's weekend is going to be better than mine
